My family is from Denmark, and growing up we would eat "Danish Pancakes" much like the ones described by K. Slink and Brigid. They are extremely thin and delicate and we would fill them with jam or jelly, roll them up, and sprinkle them with powdered sugar. (When I was little, I would put maple syrup on mine instead of the sugar). I haven't made them in a long time, but I am going to have to get the recipe and make them soon!
Believe that in the USA we know these "pancakes" as crèpe !

I was raised in an English household and my mother made something like this and my father called them gut busters because there was no leavening in them and they tended to sink to the bottom of your stomach and stayed there for quite awhile. We used to spread them with sugar and lemon....Yum!
