    Steak dry rub

Hi. I am grilling steak tips tomorrow, and want to season it with a dry rub (general mix of paprika, cayenne, sugar, spices etc). My question is, can I prep steak overnight with dry rub, or is that just done with meats such as ribs and pork? I have not been able to find any information on this topic. Any reason why I shouldnt? Thanks much.

No reason you shouldn't. Personally, I prefer to allow ANY rub or marinade to sit overnight unless a recipe specifically says not to let it go past a certain amount of time, or to wait a specific, longer amount of time (as in the case of Sauerbraten, where it says to let it sit for three days).
