Ever hear of Icy Hot pain reliever? Guess where it comes from! Hot peppers like Cayenne. It contains an ingredient called Capsaicin, the active ingredient in the cream and it is what makes the cream feel like it heats up on contact. That's not the only thing Cayenne is good for though. You can also use it for poor circulation, weak digestion, heart disease, sore throats, headaches and toothache. I'm sure you know not to get it in your eyes though. BTW, to get it off your hands, here's something I found out. Spray your hands with Clorox, rub your hands together vigorously, and wash clean. No more pepper juice. No I'm not a doctor, I just use Google search for this type of stuff. And the Clorox thing, I discovered that by acident. I also heard it on Good Eats on the Food Network channel.

I forgot to mention the other constituents of it. They are vitamins E, vitamin C and carotenoids. I hope this information helps.

As far as I know, it doesn't. There are some herbs and veggies that aid in weightloss though. I'll do a search for them.

(Quote) Herbs which may safely aid weight loss include the following:

» Cayenne contains a substance called capsaicin, which may stimulate digestion and increase metabolism and fat burning.
» Green tea contains caffeine and antioxidants that appear to stimulate metabolism.
» Seaweed, or kelp, is a natural thyroid stimulant, which may boost metabolism.
» Nettle is considered to be a thermogenic herb.
» Ginseng helps to boost energy and metabolism.

Anyone with problems or health conditions related to any of these herbs or their actions should not use them.

The herb Hoodia gordonii (or just "Hoodia") has gained recent attention as an aid for weight loss, due to its appetite suppressing actions. (End Quote)

Heck, veggies for weightlos, just eat any veggie. Raw is best but, if you have to eat them cooked, steamed is the best way to cook them. And of course, you can also eat fruits to aid weightloss.

Fiber will also help to suppress you appitite making you feel fuller than you are.

Yes, steaming IS the best way of cooking them, but recent (i.e. last 10 years or so) research has shown that, even though cooking may remove some of the nutrients from vegetables, the body is better able to process the nutrients in cooked vegetables so, as long as they are not OVERcooked, vegetables are best for you when cooked, since the body just doesn't get as much out of the raw ones. Steaming does the best job of cooking the vegetables enough to make the nutrients better available, but in a way that leeches out less of the nutrient content than with boiling or other cooking methods.

Let me clarify what I ment by raw is best. I agree that you don't get as many neutrients out of raw veggies, but when you cook the veggies you actually loose some of the fiber that you would be getting in raw veggies. Raw veggies do a two-take. You get neutrients out of raw, not as much as you would get cooked but you still get them, and they give you fiber which helps to clean out you digestive system and, for lack of better words, helps you be more regular. Not getting enough fiber? You could mix that metamucil or something similar in water and drink it OR you could eat more RAW veggies. That is basically what I ment by raw is better.
