    Green Ketchup

Hi - I am making Green Ketchup that I got off this website. The tomatoes - onions - salt have to stay in the pot for 24 hrs. Do I put the pot in the frig or just leave the pot on the counter? Please let me know. Thank you for your time.

    Green Ketchup

    Hi cooking fan,
I just looked at the recipe and you leave the tomatoes to "juice" at room tempeture. it doesn't have to be refridgerated as you want the salt you add to bring out the juices of the tomatoes.
just make sure that you use a NON aluminum pot. or the acid of the tomatoes will react to the metal.
hope this helps and happy ketchuping.!

    remember,STRESSED spelt backwards is "DESSERTS"
    happy cooking
    Ron
