    Ron,

Since granola, like müsli, is naturally a loose cereal, making it into bars needs to be done by binding the cereal together somehow. Commercially available bars range from the older types which are drier and more cookie like, to the plague of more recent entries that more closely resemble candy bars. Which of the two are you trying to duplicate?

    Hi Lab,
thanks for the reply,du'H nothing like ststing which kind of granola i'm looking for? The ones that i preffer to have are the chewy ones like nature's valley (brand name) but have tried the quaker oats brand as well.
the crispy ones are okay but am looking for the chewy kind as i said, I preffer them in a bar fashion rather than a loose granola, type.
    thanks again

Okay. I'll see if I can find any interesting recipes.

One question you missed, though: does it matter to you if the recipe calls for pre-made granola cereal, or would you rather start with the individual ingredients, yourself?
