I have a chicken adobo recipe with chicken liver. I leave the liver out but my friend told me it adds a unique flavor, but i don't eat liver so is there anything i can use instead?

I am like you. I don't like th flavor of liver so I would leave it out also. Don't care who say's it lends a distictive flavor. I still don't like the flavor of liver.Yuk, Yuk, Yuk.
Maybe Ron or Labradors has a better idea.

Hi kNoppie,
if the main ingredient is chicken livers just add chucks of turkey or chicken,if it has chicken in it as well, use pork cubed, beef cubed.both of these meats go well together and imparts fantastic flavor to the dish., when i cook roast beef i always cook a pork raost with it the gravy and flavor is to die for ,plus it gives your guests something of a choice, instead of just one protein.that's what i do.also itallian sausage, chorizo sausage, bratwurst, all impart flavor, which to me as i hat liver works for me,
Hope that helps, and gives you some ideas as what to use,
hope it turns out a great success.
happy cooking
remember,STRESSED spelt backwards is "DESSERTS"
happy cooking

In Chicken Adobo, the main ingredient is chicken. The livers are just added for more flavour.
Thanks for the help.
The chopped liver recipe did give me some ideas. I don't really eat a lot of meat. I also found a website that suggested using dates.
