    boiling potatoes

    Hi Orla,
that will depend on your potaotes that your using.it can be done,as long as it hasn't gone passed the half way point in the cooking.they must be drained really well, after plunging them into a cold water bath to stop the cooking process,do not cook 1/2 way and then let the potatoes sit in the water or they will still keep cooking and you'll get mushy water and no potatoes, you'll end up with potato soup.once the potatoe's have cooled down and your ready to cook again. boil the water first, don't put them in water and let them sit while the water comes up to tempeture.salt the water and once it has come to the boil add your potatoes to the water and watch as to not over cook them,
if you follow this you'll be okay with reboiling your potatoes.
    enjoy.
and hope this helps you out?

    remember,STRESSED spelt backwards is "DESSERTS"
    happy cooking
    Ron
