oatmeal cookies

I have tried to make oatmeal cookies about three time. I follow the recipe, but, they always seem to fall apart. What am I doinng wrong?

how much oatmeal are you using and are you you using shortening or butter in your recipe. sometimes too much oatmeal can make the recipe dry out and when baked it will make your cookies even more fall apart. try uing a bit less oatmeal. also make sure all your ingredients are at room temp and that your soda or baking powder that youre using is not expired. the recipe I always use and never had a prob with is just right off the back of the oatmeal container.
