    Best Pepper Mills

Hi. I've gotten recipes from Cooks.com for years, but never posted. I would like to find out what pepper mills people people are really, really, really happy with (non-electric).
I have one that is barely so so--I'm no longer remember the brand, but it has a Peugeot works. BUT, even though I remember the literature that accompanied it said changing the grind was simple, it is next to impossible and requires a screwdriver. Something I don't want to fuss around with in the middle of cooking dinner.
Also, it doesn't hold enough pepper for my use. I want something with a good workable size, but not some enormous monstrosity sitting on my kitchen counter.
In general I like the kind where you turn the top of the mill, not the kind with the handle (but if people RAVE about a kind with a handle I'll reconsider).
So, any favorites people have, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.

I have a favorite peppermill that is a clear plastic globe about the size of a baseball with rabbit ear handles on the top. Very convenient one-handed operation, you just pick it up and squeeze the handles together. It has easy adjustment of grind consistency, was cheap and is sturdy- has lasted for years. I don't remember the brand name but somebody must still be making them. Highly recommended!!

Yep, that's the one. Thanks Karen!
I love mine- if it ever broke, I'd buy another just like it.

I have a couple of pepper mills and the one handed one with rabbit ears is one of my favorites. Especially for busy cooking. It wipes off easily and the grind adjustment is easy also. It comes in different sizes also. I have a small one for the table and a larger one for the stove area.

Someone gave me a pepper mill from OXO and it's all I use now. Has an easy to use top crank handle, clear window spout for re-filling and seeing when you need to re-fill, and a snap on base so pepper dust isn't all over the place. Love it...
