    Raisin Bran Muffins

    Hello everyone;

    What a wonderful site. This is my first time here and I am hoping someone out there can help me!
    When I was a child my mother made these wonderful bran muffins from the recipe on the side of this bran box (I think it was dark green, maybe Quaker?) Anyways I have personally made this recipe over the years but didn't keep the recipe, thinking it would always be there, well guess what, it's not! Whatever company sold this bran product no longer does the recipe on the box, and has changed its packaging so i have no idea what brand it was. I have gone to all the cereal sites I can think of to see if the recipe is there to no avail. Can anyone help?? Did anyone else ever make that recipe off the bran box, if so can I please have the recipe? It truly is a remarkable recipe. I love the molasses. Well thanks to everyone who tries to help. Please feel free to e-mail me if you have any luck. mulligan@pris.bc.ca

    * 1/2 teaspoon salt
    * 1/2 cup raisins

    PREPARATION:
    Beat together butter and molasses. Add egg; beat well. Add bran cereal and buttermilk; let stand for 5 minutes. Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt into a medium mixing bowl. Add wet mixture to flour mixture and stir until just moistened. Stir in raisins. Fill greased muffin cups about 2/3 full; bake at 400° for about 25 minutes. Makes 9 large muffins.

    There is a recipe on ccoks.com for Raisin Bran Muffins that you can search for and see if that is the one you are looking for.
