These things always look so nice when they're new and shiny and there's no grease on the table after the lovely tabletop dinner....like on FoodTV where the cooking utensils and griddles, etc. are all sparkling...as is their kitchen.
So...have you used it yet and if so..how did you like it?
Well, I guess it's okay if you do your stir fry fondue style, and you don't mind paying $300.
Otherwise, nothing can beat a good, REAL wok. By "REAL wok," I mean NOT electric, NOT flat bottomed, and NOT made with a non-stick coating. (Stainless steel is okay, but not necessary.) In other words, NOT any of those things that they try to sell at Williams-Sonoma, department stores, or mall kitchen stores for a lot (though not as much as this table thing) of money. Instead, I bought my 16", carbon-steel, traditionally shaped wok for $9.95 at a restaurant-supply store. Even if it wouldn't last a long time (and it will), at that price, I could easily get another one and still have spent less than they want for a smaller, non-stick, flat-bottomed wok at Williams-Sonoma.
