What is the procedure for cooking potatoes for potato salad. I either cook them too much so they are mushy or not long enough and they're undercooked.

LOL.....I have the same problem I end up
making mashed potato, potato salad. What I
do now is cheap....I use the canned
potatoes...they taste fine and work out
perfect.
