recipe i use when baking a ham...
1 can of beer
1 tbsp of brown sugar
1/2 c of orange juice
mix all together and pour over ham then roast as usual and baste every 15 min

i boil my ham ... drain the water off then if i want a glaze i bake the glaze on , but boiling your ham takes the salt out
Soak the ham in water for a few hours before cooking. It pulls out a lot of the salt. take it out of the w ater & pat dry with paper towels before trying to slather a glaze or crust on it.
what about the baking in coke method?? ive heard that this could be done as well?
