    What a fun site you have created. I'm going to look at it some more... I'm surprised you don't have recipes for railroad cakes. These cakes were made 150 years ago when people used the rails a lot. They are sturdy recipes that could stand up to the rail road travel. Pound cake is one of them and most popular.

    Thank you Karen. I'm slowly converting all my mom's and families recipes over to feed one person. I'm single and don't want a ton of leftovers after cooking and baking. It's a slow process and is pretty hard to accomplish. A lot of wasted food goes down the drain from my experimenting, I'm afraid.
    I've had no formal schooling on cooking, unfortunately. It's all trial and terror. :-)
