I bought this one a few years ago and have never been happier. It's plain and simple and has done everything under the sun that I've thrown at it so far.
What I really love about it is that the mixer is removable as a hand mixer. This had been a very handy option.

Here's a pic of how mine looks.

Too bad that I couldn't get it in this luscious blue color. Had to settle for it in white.

But it's all business and it does an amazing job of mixing, kneading and whipping up culinary delights!!!

Well, I haven't, for the life of me, been able to justify paying $150-$300 or more for something that'll do the same thing for less then half that price.
    Makes no sense to me.

You can get just about ANY stand mixer to do the job.

The main thing is how far will the mixer go, or how long will it last? Surely, the more money that you invest in a machine, depending on the make and model, that will help you determine what to expect from it and how long it will serve you before it begins to show signs that it is about to bite the dust.

I used to have to put up with cheap inferior quality mixers back in the day before I decided to get my first KA stand mixer. My powerful little mixer has been, is now, and continues to give me reliable performance even today!!

I paid $165 for that mixer and it has stood the test of time. I've gotten way more than my money's worth out of it in the 26 years that I had it. I love it and wouldn't change it for the world!!
