    pudding

    is there a way to make pudding with almond milk or just water? do you need the fat to make it jell?

    You can make pudding with cornstarch and skim milk. http://vegetarian.about.com/od/deser...llapudding.htm

    I don't see why you couldn't make pudding with the almond milk if you wanted to. It should work too. Cornstarch will make it thicken into a pudding texture.

    You need a bit more cornstarch if you're using almond milk- I found this page at ehow:

    Plain water won't work. But my Mom makes pudding from fruit juices using tapioca as a thickener; that's worth exploring. I'd heard that you can use chia seeds to make a no-cook pudding and this page turned up when I queried it:

    Sounds unusual and it might be slightly odd. Or it could be great- I haven't tried it. But it's probably worth experimenting with. If you do, stop by and let us know how it turns out, okay?

    I usually make pudding with bread and milk.

    You can make a pudding with milk and bread. That's what I do.
