    Easy way to freeze okra

has anyone tried: wash then towel dry fresh okra; slice and put in
appropriate freezer bags and freeze. When ready to cook, thaw--
then dip in buttermilk and cornmeal. Fry as usual.
This was suggested but I have not tried it. Does anyone
have a better method or knows if there would be
    problems with this method? BusyGaNana

The way you described is how my granny always did it and everyone loved her cooking. Personally I'm not a fan of okra though, so I don't know much else.
