    Overly sweet

I made a flan that is too sweet. What flavor or fruit can I serve to counterbalance?

Maybe some grapefruit sections or peach slices.

I'm thinking raspberries w/ a little raspberry liquer (if you drink) drizzled on the plate...Blackberries can be pretty tart too, and even blueberries can be kind of tart this time of year.

I had another thought if you use rasberries...some very dark (not milk) chocolate shavings on the plate...The darker the less sweet it is & the slightly bitter taste might be a nice compliment.

How do you mean to use the lemon? Squeeze the juice on it (sounds good) or just add the fruit? Just wondering...
Hey OPERA! Can you let us know how it turned out?

I was thinking of a lemon sauce or curd to drizzle over the flan. I make a key lime tart with warm rum mango sauce drizzled and it's to die for! The contrast of tastes and hot and cold make it special.
