    Chopped

You have A Salmon Fillet, Cinnamon, Blue Cheese crumbles and Frozen Peas. What would you make for an Entree? Iceberg salad w/tomato and peas, Baked Salmon w/citrus, mashed potatoes w/blue cheese crumbles and fresh fruit salad w/cinnamon and vanilla. So who's dish is on the chopping block? Maybe mine because it's not all in one dish...

I would make a basil, parm pesto and add in the frozen peas after blanching. Then I would rub the salmon with the cinnamon, brown sugar, lemon or orange zest S&P maybe some cumin. Then I would cook the salmon, set it on top of a little of the pesto and top it with a couple of Blue Cheese crumbles. Then would mix blue cheese with some mayonnaise or butter and a little dill. Serve w/toast triangles spread with the blue cheese mixture. That is off the top of my head and I would probably be chopped also. But Auntymimi yours sounds really good.

I like the sound of the cinnamon, brown sugar, zest and cumin rub. Kind of a smoked salmon rub without the brine.

Tandoori rub for the salmon and add the cinnamon, sauteed. cook the green peas with mint. blue cheese crumb inserted in the middle of a mashed potato ball, lightly breaded and deep fried. I think I just went over time and unhealthy. Losing points for uncreative peas! veggies are not my strong point.

I'll do the dessert basket now and then I'll do appetizer tomorrow, I'm afraid my pantry isn't too out there as far as strange ingredients go so we can let some one else jump in for the the next round of baskets.

Tonight for dessert your basket has... Frozen strawberries, sour cream, chocolate chips and star fruit juice. Good luck!!

I think I was probably chopped last round...but I want to play too
I made for you tonight, sour cream/chocolate chip brownie bites with a sour cream strawberry/star fruit milk shake smoothie. (and if my brownie bites aren't done that's becauses they just became lava bites.)

Make a meringue with melted chocolate chips in it. Make a glaze with the star fruit. Strain the strawberries and puree with sour cream and sugar. Chocolate Pavlova with a light strawberry center with a drizzle of star fruit glaze on top and around the merinque "island" And yes I lost again due to the time.

Sounds delightful, I made merinque last week with my new kitchen aid mixer last week and I felt so spoiled sipping my coffee while it did all the work. : )

Best toy in the kitchen. I like to watch it knead my bread. Instant coleslaw. Whipped cream. fruit/veggie strainer. etc. Still trying to make my own skinless sausage. I will never be with out one.
