how about an ovenstuffer? or a casserole that has the starch and veggies in it? the recipe search has many casserole recipes for the oven and a crockpot if you own one, make a salad and some crescent rolls and your done.
WOW! You didn't give us much time! I agree a casserole is a great way to go as well as a roasted chicken. But w/ that you need to plan all the sides too. A big dish of roasted new potatoes, carrots, & broccoli might work. Always have some nice bread for a filler if you worried there might not be enough. How about Chicken Parm? W/ one l cutlet per person + a few extra....a salad, bread, & a pasta (just toss it w/ a little butter, EVOO, salt & pepper) on the side. But you better get to work early in the morning.Good luck & have fun!
Cream of chicken soup, undiluted, mixed with mustard to taste, black pepper, and dried tarragon or your herb of choice, skinless chicken pieces. Thighs work very well and cost less. Bake 'til about falling off the bone tender...fast, simple, and tasty!
Think I'll make some today, in fact, thanks for the reminder!
I don't know the name of the dish, but its made with boneless chicken breasts covered with crumbled danish blue cheese, with leek pieces braised in garlic butter and covered with a sauce made from strong cheddar cheese. put it in the oven at 350f for about 90 minutes until the crust is brown and bubbly
6 to 8 boiled chicken breasts, cut in bite size pieces on the bottom of an oblong cake pan, 1 1/2 cans of cream of celery soup, undulited, spread on chicken, 1 box of frozen chopped broccoli, 8 sliced of velvetta cheese or american cheese on top of the broccoli and 1 box of prepared chicken stove top stuffing. Bake in oven until bubbly. Everytime I've made this I get requests for the recipie. You can also sub cream of mushroom for the celery but we always like the cream of celery soup better.
I'm probably too late, but next time..I'd say chicken parm..I cut my boneless breast in half sideways, pound them. Dip in egg mixture then Italian bread crumbs, do both twice and press hard. It will help with the flattening and sticking of crumbs. Put aside till finished all chicken(don't put chicken on oiled pan till all done, you don'y want it sittting in oil). Then put oil of your choice on a baking sheet, preferably a heavy baking sheet. Cook at 350 for 20 minutes, flip, cook 15-20 more minutes add sauce, and cheese(mozz or your choice, I like the Italian blend). Sounds like a lot of work, but you can do alot before your guest arrive. Goes great with angle hair(a light pasta, cause the chicken is heavy) and your favorite sauce, salad and Italians bread!! Yum, when you make it, I want to come over! Enjoy!!
