One more idea for you--try to find "The Real Chili Cookbook" by Marjie Lambert. 100 verrrrry good ideas in there. When I saw it in the kitchen of a 2 or 3 time national chili cook off winner during a TV segment I knew I had a reliable source. I've posted about it several times already in various forums...
Just found a VM from the WSFD on my phone, they don't wish to give out their recipe, but wish us all the best of luck. Too bad I wasn't around when it rang, then maybe I could have asked the two most important questions--what's the sweetener and what's the liquor? Oh well, I tried.....
