Need Help re: recipe calling for soy sauce

I need some help!! Got a recipe for chicken drumsticks (baked) that calls for soy sauce. I've never used that and don't cook with it. Any alternative? The "marinade" is a soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, ketchup kind of thing. Got great reviews and hubby wants me to try it but I don't have the soy sauce.

First time here. Great site. Thank you.

Just wondering...can I ask why you've never eaten or are familiar w/ soy sauce? It's a very common ingredient in many recipes. Not that it's any of my business I get curious about these things. It's a handy item to have in the pantry.

I can answer that! I really am not good at making rice. Not sure what works or not. I've had 3 rice cookers and pots but prefer the boil and drain method. I really have not found a good vinaigrette salad dressing. And it took me about 20 years to discover the perfect pie crust recipe that now ever one just craves. Experience seems to be the answer. Seems to me we all have certain items in our pantry that works for us.
