This recipe is trying to tell you to keep an eye on your cookies. Oven temps vary.Lower temp chewy high crispy. Sugar must be typical white refined sugar for the recipe. Site monitor is CM go to the bottom of the site and click on contact us. and pick the option you want.

Thank you for the answer on cookie temp. The second recipe does not list any sugar at all for the filling so there is no amount to go by. THANKS AGAIN AMF

I always start with the lower temperature first, it's a much safer bet. You don't necessarily have to bake an entire pan while checking out how the temperatures work, six at a time will be good enough to let you know if you're on the right track...

Good idea! It only makes sense to do a small amount untill I know what will work best, too bad I did not think of it on my own . I am so glad I found this forum all of you are so helpful it is like having neighbors I can call for help which is such a blessing as none of my neighbors bake. The little girl accross the street came home and told her mom she volenteered to bring in cookies for a party at school and her mom said but you know I can not bake her daughter answered but Mrs. F does. she is
so cute of course I was glade to help now I try to have her come and bake once a month maybe a star will be born at least she will know how to follow a recipe. .................THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!!!! AMF

Excellent! It is so important that the next generation knows how to cook and what is good for them. Good for you for taking the time to teach a skill and a healthy lifestyle.

So go to your nearest YMCA and see if they need a chef to teach a kids cooking class. That could be a lot of fun!

You could call the girl scouts and offer to do a class once a month or so.I know they earn cooking & they also have formal tea badges . I was a scout leader for 10 years we even did weekend camp outs with different stations and we had one teaching outdoor cooking.IT WAS A BLAST!!!!
