Well looking at the recipe I don't see any liquid. Like melted butter. Seems to have a lot of eggs therefore I'm thinking the size of the eggs may be off. Increase the eggs or use extra large. I did some surfing and found other similar recipes but they had butter in them. The dough I end up with is very sticky and limp ( for lack of a better word!) not dry at all.

Mine has a third of a cup. But compare the volume and add until you get the right texture.

Just an idea. I test my recipes out in the off season. summer time when everyone is more relaxed and enjoy a treat. Even fruit cake in July. shortbread in Sept. That way you have time to adjust or replace a recipe you don't like.

Excelent idea I just see a new recipe and decide to try it . My husbands family is from Sicili and the Aunts won't share recipes so I'm trying to find traditional recipes to pass on to our kids, and sometimes I take on to much ,like the 12 fish dishes for Christmas eve dinner the first 2 years I did them I almost went nuts but live and learn, THANKS AGAIN !!!!!

Many families will not share recipes. Too bad since a lot of family traditional recipes are lost. So start your own and be sure to change the attitude and share with sons and daughters and in laws. It's not a competition!!!!!!! It makes the holidays so much more festive. Better yet. Create a traditional feast and give the gift of a family traditional cookbook for the kids and kid in laws. Each year print out the recipes you have used for the season and give it as as a "thank you for coming and sharing"
