    Hay and Straw

Made this tonight, it is from 2004 Taste of Home annual recipes. I didn't think it had enuf seasoning but only added some diced green onion tops. Followed the recipe other than that. DH said it's his new fav. Suprisingly good. Served with tossed salad and garlic toast. I don't measure very often so the amounts are ???

    Hay & Straw

1 16oz. pkg. linguine (I used a handful of whole wheat spag.)
2 c. julienned cooked ham (needed to use about 3/4lb. of deli sliced ham)
    1 Tab. butter or marg
    3 c. frozen peas
    1 1/2 c. shredded Parmesan cheese
    1/3 c. heavy cream

Cook pasta according to pkg. directions. meantime, in a large skillet saute ham in butter 3 min. add peas, heat thru. Drain pasta, toss with ham mixture. Add cream and parm cheese. Serve immediately
