I want to bake my ham steaks in soy sauce/water instead of on the stove top? About how long and what temp should I use to keep the steaks from becoming too dry?

Type baked ham steak under recipe search, 44 suggestions there...
Won't that make them too salty?
I know I sure wouldn't get soy sauce anywhere near ham...
I'd prefer a mixture of brown sugar or maple syrup with a Dijon mustard.Ham is salty enough for me.
I'm right there with you on that one, I need something sweet to counter balance the saltiness!
In the South ginger ale is sometimes poured over a roasting ham to reduce saltiness- you might try half water & half ginger ale. Nice flavor combination too.
Yikes! I agree, why add more salt to ham? You are talking about the pink packaged slices, not a whole ham, right? If so, here's a suggestion.. Let the ham sit out 15-20 mins so it's not too cold. Mix whatever your favorite type mustard w/ a little honey & coat the ham steaks. If you want them crispy bake uncovered (make sure use put some cooking spray or a little oil to prevent sticking). Turn after 20 mins each side. (@350) If you want them moist, bake them in some rinsed saurkraut & a bottle of beer, a sauteeed onion, some bay leaves, black pepper. This is really delish.
Never used ham w/ soy sauce...so can't help you there. Hope you find something that works!
I like mine baked with kraut and plenty of pineapple rings.
