Pastry crust for a 9 in. pan
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 c. dry breadcrumbs
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. chopped bell pepper
Preheat oven to 425. In skillet brown ground beef and drain. Stir in salt, oregano, pepper, bread crumbs, tomato sauce, onion and green pepper. Pour into pie shell. Spread cheese topping over filling and bake 30 minutes.
Cheese Topping
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
Beat egg and milk in bowl. Stir in seasonings and cheese. Spread over beef pie before baking.
