1/2 c. butter
1 c. packed brown sugar (light brown)
pinch salt (about 1/4 tsp.)
6 tbsp. milk
3 c. confectioner's sugar
Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in brown sugar and salt. Bring to a boil, and boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add milk, stirring all the time. Return to heat and bring to boil again. Remove from heat and allow to cool until lukewarm. (about 20-25 minutes) Stir in confectioner's sugar and beat until smooth and cool enough to spread. You may add a few drops of milk if the frosting is too stiff.
Old-fashioned Southern goodness on a white cake! (or any kind you think would be perfect!) Enjoy!![]()
