French 75 (from World War I)
- 1/2 oz lemon juice
- 1 1/2 oz brandy
- 1/2 oz Cointreau
- Champagne (or any dry fizzy wine)
We had a Pre-Christmas Dinner a few years back for a club we belong to and we made this the signature drink of the evening. Things got very jolly very fast.
- Preparation:
- Pour the lemon juice and brandy and Cointreau into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
- Shake well.
- Strain into a chilled Champagne flute.
- Carefully add the Champagne.
