How to Keep Bacon from Curling

I read an article the other day on how to keep your bacon from curling up at the ends and it works very well. Just place your bacon in the pan (when cold) before you turn the heat on. Very simple and effective.

Good idea, it's always worked for me. Also laying bacon out on a sheet pan and baking it keeps it nice and flat, plus no splattering grease all over the kitchen...

I read somewhere that dipping it in cold water first works. Haven't tried it as I usually oven bake mine.

There is sometrhing you can buy called a bacon press. It works, too. The one I have looks almost like an iron. Cooking bacon has always been one of my more unfavorite kitchen tasks.

Yeah, I have. I just don't cook bacon very ofen. It is easier in the microwave. I haven't done it in a long time, though.

I like the oven method. Less burnt bacon and It freeze me up to fix something else. I like that one tray does a whole package of bacon.
