    when it calls for kayro syrup can i use regular syrup?

    the recipe is cornflake and peanutbutter cookies can i use regular syrup instead of kayro syrup

    http://www.karosyrup.com/faq_text.html. I found the answer in this link. I forget which question it was under but it gives the answer that they can be interchangeable. Hope this helps you.

    I think it is mainly a matter of flavor. Karo white will keep it sweet and not add any extra flavor that COULD drown out the intended flavor of the recipe, but if you use a maple or molasses flavored syrup it will impact the flavor. You might not mind that! It would be up to your personal taste.

    What is "regular" syrup? Do you mean maple syrup as opposed to corn syrup?

    Yeah, but he was saying "regular" syrup INSTEAD of Karo syrup. So we thought he must be calling maple syrup "regular" syrup.

    If you said regular syrup to me I would think of the darker corn syrup. Recipes will list corn syrup but will specify white corn syrup.

    I'm assuming the OP meant simple syrup, sugar and water.
