Thread: Low Country Shrimp and Rice

    Low Country Shrimp and Rice

    1-2 lbs. small shrimp
    1 lb. beef kielbasa or smoked sausage
    1 med. onion, chopped
    1/2-2/3 c. green pepper, chopped
    1 c. cooked, white rice
    worcestershire sauce or soy sauce
    pepper
    1-2 tbsp. butter

    Saute onion and green pepper til softened. In the meantime, slice sausage and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Drain well on paper. Add sausage to onion and green pepper. Cover and simmer 5 minutes. Add rice and cook 5 minutes more, covered. Now fold together and serve with worcestershire or soy sauce.

    Garlic bread is good with this, plus a nice, cool tomato salad.
