    St. Patrick's Day

Time to start thinking about St. Patrick's Day. Do you do anything in the way of food to honor this day of revelry? I always make a cake or cupcakes from pistachio pudding. You can add a little green coloring to the batter, and it is in keeping with all the wearing-of-the-green. Sometimes I bake sugar cookies that I cut out with a 4 leaf clover cookie cutter. No children in my house, but I am a child at heart!

One thing you could do is make a lime punch for the kiddies. If you made a lime-pineapple punch with gingerale and lime sherbet in the mix, it would be great. I have made that before, and it is always something everyone loves.

Mine, too. The combination of pineapple and lime is delicious. I always look forward to that flavor combination.

Can't get good ones up here until June. I have a strawberry farmer 2 blocks away and every year I'm buying by the flat.

We ARE lucky here in many ways. Each summer there are farmers who have little vegetable and fruit stands alongside the highways. It's nice. You can always pick up something fresh off their farms when you want. I get tomatoes, esp. Then they also have big, succulent baskets of peaches, and strawberries. Watermelons, too. Lots of stuff. They sell fresh, roasted peanuts, too.... not my favorite, but they are available.
