First of all I wouldn't even call this a recipe but it was so good I had to share it.
1 package of saltine crackers, unsalted ( that's one of a package of 4 each weights about 4 oz.)
1/4 cup olive oil ( others will work as well)
3 teaspoons of your choice of dried herbs and spices ( I used an Italian mix, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.) adjust amounts for your taste.
Put the crackers in a bowl. In a separate bowl blend the oil and herbs/spices. Pour over the crackers and gently stir coating all crackers. Let sit for a minimum 1/2 hour re-stirring every 10 minutes. The longer it sits the stronger the flavour. Try not to eat all at once!
The crackers take on the flavour and don't get soggy. Great snack to replace those chips. Probably would go good with hummus or other dips.
