    Meat Crumbler

Crumbling ground beef or sausage as it cooks can be a pain. I've been told there is a contraption out there that makes this chore a lot easier, and it's not a blender or food processor. Does this ring a bell with anyone?

Are you talking about an old fashioned hand cranked meat grinder?

    1. You can use a small amount of water in the bottom of the pan instead of oil to help break it up. The steam helps to separate the fat and crumbles the meat. Also it will remove some of the fat and you just drain it off when done.

    2. You can use a pastry blender to break it up as it cooks, it's faster than just using a fork or spoon.

Do up batches of meat and measure out your recipe sizes. Freeze the packages for future use. This way you have less to do when you want the meal. Good for weeknight dinners... casseroles, meat pies, sloppy joes, chili or tacos
