I try to save candy experiments for the Holidays, then I know there will be an end to that! I think the best new one so far is a white fudge with cranberry and walnuts. Not big on white chocolate; I was pleasantly surprised! Of course, the penuche is a guaranteed success; it is almost gone. Can't hardly leave it alone....
Penuche... I LOVE it! I like divinity, too. It is something i have a little trouble with when I try making it, though. I made some strawberry divinity one time that turned out great! This year I made the orange flavored sugared pecans and I can't leave them alone either. hahahaha! I know what you mean!

Something else that is helpful. Bran flakes for breakfast, and even again for lunch if you are serious about getting things done as quickly as possible. Add some fruit and you are sitting pretty.
    Brigid,

I found munching on ice chips is very satisfying and quinches the thirst too!

I love ice. Sometimes I freeze juice and get it really more like a hard slush and scrape it from the glass for a snack. It's a great way to go! Thanks Auntymimi!

I find a good snacking food is chocolate cheerios or the multi grain. As any kid under 2!

Well, here we are after Easter...lots of candy around and everything else that comes with holidays.... I didn't eat much this year. A miracle, but there was no dinner party here, so I only served dessert. I was unconcerned about dinner. hahaha!

The Hershey kissis with an almond inside are a good healthy treat if you can limit yourself to two or three. I find that one or two will satisfy my sweet tooth so that I don't go overboard when I'm dieting.

My best strategy is bran flakes, skim milk, and orange juice for breakfast, then another round of bran flakes at dinner. I eat my "regular" dinner at lunch time, and often eat fish and vegetables. Water always. It seems to work for me. Don't eat anything heavy at night. Plus walking as much as possible....half of it slightly uphill. All that is good. If I am REALLY ambitious, I do a few other indoor exercises.

And that is the healthiest lifestyle I've seen in a long time! Good for you. Wish I could find the motivation to change. Ever tried multi grain cheerios I find they have a higher fiber than oat bran hot cereal. Got to read and compare the labels!

I like Cheerios. I eat them once in a while for a change. They're good! Thanks! I try very hard to stay motivated.

Water will do the trick, temporarily of course, but try something a little more substantial, that really will curb those cravings. As a nutrition science degree major, I am certainly am very well aware of the ups and owns of food, eating different types to achieve different results and of course, dieting. This is over years and years of trials and tribulations. however, dieting really is the wrong word to use here, Lifestyle, is really how you can change your weight. Living life by eating healthy such as eating hearty wholegrain breads, sticking to cottage cheese for a snack, and a whole apple, orange, even avacado are awesome ways to stay healthy and naturally loose weight! Portions are another thing! stick to smaller portions and eat more throughout the day, it ultimately will help, along with a good 30 brisk walk per day to help loose weight!

Curb those cravings with an apple and a cup of cottage cheese for a snack or have a piece of whole-grain hearty bread from trader joes or make your own! Try my awesome brown bread recipe to have a slice for a snack with apple butter on top! If you want to recipe, let me know! Hope this helps!
