Question Suggestion for counter top large size over 1 cu. convection oven...

I am in the market for a new counter top convection oven over 1 cu., for back up baking. We only have a range with an oven. The oven in the range is being serviced now. We used our old toastmaster convection oven and accidentally hit the door against a pyrex dish and the tempered glass shattered throughout the kitchen. Alas the turkey was done, albeit glass thruout the house. That said, we have nothing while our main stove is being serviced. Any suggestions on a counter top model under $150.?

Checked with my roomie, his was crazy expensive, something like a machine that will do everything except your laundry. Sorry to not be of any help here, I suggest googling the manufactureres and taking it from there.....

In the past, I would never consider buying a microwave without it also having a convection function. I'm on my 6th iteration of one of these kinds of ovens. (Will I never learn?) One of the microwaves has a halogen cooking element, another is built into a GE Trivection stove. The advantage of these is that they will brown/roast while microwaving on intermittent settings. It also allows you to use the same space for two separate functions.

I've had problems with all of these ovens one way or another - many microwaves keep working while the convection heating elements stop after about a year (in all but 2). The halogen version has been OK, but the Trivection oven has required $1000 worth of electrical repairs in less than 2 years (one of these repairs just this week).

I've started to doubt the advantage of having computerized components.
