    i would add a some ginger to this. this is very good i use some thing like this a lot

    Oh yeah, you can buy regular sesame seed oil that is not toasted, but I think it has other uses besides cooking applications.

    I have never seen regular sesame seed oil used in the manner of toasted sesame seed oil. I don't KNOW if they use it also in Chinese restaurants, but I know for SURE that they use TOASTED. It is wonderful, isn't it? It is like a little secret most people don't realize.

    You're right! You're right! I just went to the fridge and pulled out the bottle of sesame oil and it DOES say "toasted"! In very, very small letters, it's true, but there it is. This brand is "International Collection," imported from somewhere. And yes, it is very nice. The flavor it adds to starches of different kinds is excellent and you really don't need any other kind of sauce even if you just use a small amount. I wonder if all the sesame oils we've used were toasted? I'll have to read some labels next time I go to the store. The label on this one refers to its use in Chinese cooking, stir-frys and as a marinade.
