If I new before eating these how they were made I never would have given them a shot. Luckily that wasn't the case and I found a delish rib recipe that we all enjoy. For years in the town where I grew up the fireman sold these by the rack for a fundraiser. After getting tired of paying so much and waiting in line for hours I watched them make it. It took a few tries but now I think I have it down.

1 rack pork spare ribs
1 gallon apple cider vinegar
meat tenderizer
seasoned salt (I like Laury's)

Soak the ribs in the vinegar for 6 hours.
Remove and rince well. They will appear somewhat gray.
Pat dry and sprinkle the meaty side with just a bit of the tenderizer. Generously sprinkle both sides with the salt and immediately put on the grill on VERY low heat. If the heat is too high the fat will burn too quickly and the meat dry out. Turn every 15 to 20 minutes for anywhere from 1 hour 30 minutes until 1 hour 45.

Please let me know how they turned out.
