I picked up the Hamilton Beach w/probe last year and love it.

That's nice. I like the probe idea. I've had my basic slow cooker for over 30 years. I have a rice cooker that can be used as a slow cooker. and yet I'd love to have one of these!

I'm a Hamilton Beach fan and most all my kitchen appliances are Hamilton Beach. I think my waffle iron is the only odd ball.

    Let's see. I have an
    HB stand mixer
    HB toaster
    HB toaster oven with rotisserie
    HB slow cooker

    Here's what might be considered as the ultimate in slow cooking;

The R9ival BBQ Pit Crockpot Slow Cooker.

Had it for about 6 or 7 years now, and it STILL performs very well!! I've slow cooked many things in it, including babyback ribs, chicken legs, fresh pork shoulders as well as whole chickens.

But unfortunately, from what I heard, Rival has stopped making the unit because of a serious hidden flaw. The stoneware insert, accoding to some, would crack and break in half!!!

Luckily for me, that hasn't happened. Knock on wood!!!

    Thanx!

The slow cookers in the link look nice, but I think I'm all set for now.

    Wink

Yeah, the slow methodical process that the sloow cooker uses tames even the toughest cut of meat!

Here's a pic of mine. My Old Reliable!!

I've had it since the late '70s, and it is still going as strong as ever! Wouldn't trade it for the world!!

That's one of those old originals! Nice pot, Sherm.
I love pork. Have you got a BBQ pork slow cooker recipe you want to share with this pork lover?
I'd appreciate a mild BBQ sauce, though. Nothing hot and spicy for me, thank you.

    Thanks,
    Rick
