    Re-freezing meats

I have a lot of frozen meat in my freezer. I would like to
prepare some meals and freeze them. Can I thaw, cook, and
refreeze the meat in recipes? Im not sure about the
    refreezing.

I do it all the time. Just make sure the meat is throughly cooked, and cooled completely before putting it back in the freezer

I love how this thread was titled "no topic" but still got so many views. Agreed with Knightmoves. Freezing and refreezing meat is possible. Granted, it will change the texture of the meat the next time it's unfrozen, but shouldnt affect it too much. It's also a good idea to use your meat and refreeze before your meat goes bad from freezerburn

    AG,

It is completely safe to cook with defrosted meat, assuming you cook the meat to the correct temperature, and then freezing the cooked product.

It should be noted too that, once the meat is refrozen and then thawed, it should not be frozen a third time. The texture and consistency of the food at the point of the 3rd defrosting would be terrible.

I am also not aware how to refreeze the meat.It is necessary for saving the meat for some time. This time is more then freeze the meat.
