They can cause blindness and a coma. But I have a very special use for them. Mix cement and use the back as a mold for stepping stones for your garden. Now this is waaay off the original thread forum!

Hello Karen,
Wow I did not know that either!
And thanks for the idea,
I will have to tell my Dad, him and my Mother LOVE to do their own kind of Landscaping and are forever changing it!!
I found out they got rid of their 2 year old flower bed that I LOVED and put in this new Window Box made out of railroad ties!
Oh well It's their yard!! Now I am off the original tread forum!

Wow, all this info on rhubarb is tempting me to try cooking/baking with it :-). I'm familiar with it, but since I didn't grow up eating it it's never quite made it to my kitchen.
I suggest you break in easy and try a Bhubarb Custard pie recipe first. CAuse Rhubarb is better that way. I am NOT a rhubarb fan, howver, B ut the Rhubarb Custard pie is good.
In response to IMissTexas and whoever else cares to read this (I'm sorry, that sounded like sarcasm, but I didn't mean it that way) I had read earlier this year, because I was curious, that rhubarb was brought from Europe and that it was used in a savory manner, but the Germans who brought it over used it in a dessert manner, thus strawberry/rhubarb pies, preserves, etc. And yes, the leaves are very poisonous; and use the thinner stalks, they're more tender...I know, this has all been said before, but I just wanted to add my 2 cents.
