In Turkey we call this as Arnavut Cigeri , arnavut means albenian in turkish.
I am really not sure if the albenians cook the liver in this way or we just made it up the name
If you like liver ,this recipe will be your indispensable. Very tasty and easy to prepare, also liver very good with the onion salad , great accompony!! you should try

    Looks Interesting

This looks interesting. My husband just said last night, "Isn't it time for you to cook some liver." (It's been a while!) I always cook it the same way, so I think I will try this. Thanks.

That does look interesting, jadegs, thanks for sharing! Every once in awhile I like to make liver, will have to give this one a try.

I usually chop small bits of salt pork, then fry liver with onions. Another way I like to make chicken livers is to saute them with onion, a little olive oil and small amount of butter (my original recipe calls for schmaltz or chicken fat). Then season with salt, pepper, onion and garlic, sometimes a few drops of a sweet wine. Hard boil a few eggs, add a sleeve of Ritz crackers and make a liver pate by blending it all in the food processor.
