    Storing English Cucumber

Can anyone tell me how to store cukes once the cellophane is cut or removed. It seems the english cuke only lasts about 3 days before going off. We rarely get to finish one. I've tried removing part or all of the wrap and have tried those green plastic bags. (which are great for everything else) I'm now trying the green bag again but at room temperature. Any ideas?

You can slice them and store them by making a bread and butter pickle (a sweetened, spiced vinegar) or a dill, garlic or oil pickle. Then refrigerate them in a glass jar covered in whatever mixture you've chosen.

Try a search for Bread and Butter Pickles, Dill Pickles or Oil Pickles.
